notification-daemon-xfce has been replaced by xfce4-notifyd. You can download the latest version of notifyd(0.2.2) here.

The last version of notification-daemon-xfce was 0.3.5 updated about 4 years ago. See this thread for more details: [SOLVED] xfce-notification-daemon versus Xfce4-notifyd.

Thanks to some help in the xfce-dev IRC channel, I was able to I was able to get an account set up and the registration page has now been updated with information on generating the required hash. Thanks again!

All of the image links are broken on that page. The page hasn't been updated since 2009.

Naturally, I didn't have a saved example, and didn't get any more messages from here until today. However, the ones that came in today were all just fine. Whatever was wrong seems to have cleared itself up.

Phoronix Review of Graphics

So just figured I'd throw this out for discussion: Phoronix did a review of desktop environments and how they worked with various graphics cards (open-source and proprietary drivers) in a gaming and overall graphics environment. XFCE was at least number 2 in all but one test, and in certain tests was leaps and bounds above the rest in terms of performance. Its an interesting read, figured I'd share it.

Best to join the goodies mailing list and work on xfce-look.org. If you have a nice theme and its not based on a non-xfce theme engine, we can include it in the xfce gtk engine or a new theme in xfwm4; but the best place to discuss that is on goodies-dev ml.

The problem with this is that none of the Xfce core developers or active contributor on this forum speaks English, so it might be nice of some rants and opinions, but we cannot guarantee technical support, pickup you problem and fix it in the code or point you into the right direction.
