I have turned on the Xfce-dusk theme; it is nice but most websites have the one and same problem, they define a background color but no font color (why?!). Also I played with the desktop margins (see the maximized window which leaves space on the right).

One month back I also tweaked me a Murrine theme.

If you mean without the icons add "gtk-menu-images = 0" to your ~/.gtkrc-2.0
If it the way the menu is ordered then its is made by hand and does not use the auto menu creation.
If you don't want to make it by hand you could use menumaker and edit the menu it spits out.

how does anyone edit the menu to look like that? even the latest svn doesnt have a decent menu editor..

hi, these infos on the lower left and right on this shot (cpu, ram, processes etc.) - looks pretty neat. which plugin is that?

edit: oh, its conky, i suppose...

Yep conky, torsmo can't do mpd stats, the weather comes from weatherget
