If you have such a library is quite easy, but since the installer will be replaced by installit sooner of later, this is time spend in the wrong package.

The GUI installer works great but how much would it take for it to remember what it has already done?

If the install fails on a dependancy towards the end it goes through the whole lot again.

Just a thought, I don't know what it would involve.
