Great to hear that it works now.
That button label text is actually error done by translator.
It will be fixed in the final 4.4 Xfce release, not before.
You can not fix it yourself.

Yep the translation file was gubbed, I've replaced it with a fresh one and it's workin well now.

Well except for having the words "Button Label|" infront of the 1st 5 items in the settings menu. It was trying to fix this that I must have broken Orage in the first place.

Oh well....

If it's the language file can I manually change it? Does someone have an entry for it that I could copy in?

Could be...

I had a problem with some strange language translations (it added "Button Lable |" infront of labels) in one of my menus (Settings Manager).

I'm using LANG=en_GB.UTF-8

I tried what you said and it didn't help.

It looks more like a corrupted translation file.
What is your LANG varable?

Does it help if (from a terminal) you do
LANG=C orage

From the terminal the output is:

It looks to me like it's saving them but it's just not displaying them. That would fit in with the display being messed up.

Hi all!

I'm new to XFce and I'm having a few problems with Orage the fisrt is that when I click on New or View Selected Date->New then I fill in a Title, Location and Dates and then Save and then Close now if I view the selected date there are no entries under it.

Also something I have noticed since I looked at some screen shots of it, my version has a lot of the words in the buttons and tabs cut off, well actualy it seems to be the start of the word that's cut off.

I have tried rooting around in the settings but there doesn't appear to be anyhting that would obviously stop me saving there.

I'm running xubuntu with Orage/XFce version 4.3.99.1.

It could even be a permission thing but I'm just guessing.
