  i have been running xfce4.4 for some time now on ubuntu edgy....i have yet to see the speed that everyone's been talkin bout and which was the reason for me to pick it...it might sound crazy but my gnome flies when compared to my xfce....i have tried disabling gnome and kde application start up also too no avail....my system is a P3 900Mhz with 384Mb of RAM....are there any setting that need to be changed or tweaks.....suggestions for light applications are welcome...please help me out here guys.......
