Sorry for being so dumb. I really like the transpparent panels I have seen in the screen shots.
How do you use that patch to the panel. It's embarrassing, my knowledge is just point and click and
starting to learn how to use the command line. Please kindly explain and thank you very much in advance

Edit:

My apology, I posted without knowing that there was a similar topic in the screen shot section of this forum and found the answer. Please feel free to delete this post.

Thanks,
su_xfce

Hi and thanks Nick

Are you sure ? Because I think that I do not need this fix with libxfce4util 4.4.0
I installed xfce 4.4.0 from the sources here, and this fix seems already integrated into libxfce4util 4.4.0

I noticed that if you set the panel with transparency that not only does it make the background transparent, but makes everything else transparent also.. Is there anyway to make the background only transparent and not everything else?

Also, with the panel if you use a different panel background with your GTK theme, how can you make some of the system tray apps and the clock to blend into the panel like everything elese? See the photo to see what I mean..
http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/2948 … 434nl5.png

As you can see, they have a black background instead of just blending into the panel like the launchers and everything else..

Thanks for any help or information you can offer!
