I've got the same problem. Some icons/applets don't fit with the panel and put it out of shape.

For example, i've had the wifi-signal and battery applet on my panel (i'm using XFCE 4.3.99.1 with Ubuntu Edgy on my laptop). My screen resolution is 1280*800, and the "base" size of the panel is 1.5cm. If I try to decrease it's height, say down to 1cm, the other icons get ridiculously small (1*1px). Plus it's impossible to have a panel less than 1cm height, which is definitivily too big for such a small screen... XFCE is a really good desktop manager imo, but i'm using 2 panels and if i can't resize them i'll have to reinstall Gnome, which is really slow...

How can we fix this ? :?

Thanks for any help !

As you can see in the picture, http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1508 … hotrq8.png
only the "cpu usage icon" touches the edges of the panel, the rest of the icons do not (notice the big space around the other icons). This poses a problem because when I resize the panel the other icons become to small. How can I fix this?
