Most likely this is because GNOME sets the dpi, while Xfce uses the dpi that is used by GDM. You can make Xfce set the dpi by adding this to ~/.config/xfce4/Xft.xrdb:
Xft.dpi: 96

Hi all.
I'm running on a ubuntu edgy box. I was using gnome for a long time and I decided to give xfce a try. I sort of found some back port and installed it and I really like it.
The one thing is annoying me by the time being is that the fonts on every aplication are HUGE, I've set the xfce settings to 9pt bitstream vera sans but, for example, text in eclipse (I use eclipse A LOT), is like 12pt, and its annoying. That's not the only app that behaves like this. Could there be some kind of "conflict" between GNOME and XFCE? is there a known way to work around this?

Thanks in advance
