It seems taht xfwm4 (the window manager of Xfce) has crashed somehow. I suggest you verify if it still runs (either with 'pgrep xfwm4' if you have it installed or ps aux | grep xfwm4). I do not know why that would happen.

Hello

my linux distribution is PcLinuxOS 2007 tr4. Some days ago I was in XFCE and I run a guest (MSWindows) in VMware Server in full screen mode. After I exited from VMware Server I lost all the "frames" of the open applications in XFCE.

Therefore I cannot move, park, maximize the windows. Also the running applications don't appear in the taskbar. On my linux I have also Gnome and KDE and both appear to be ok still, so I think there is something that went wrong exactly with XFCE.

I tryed also to run XFCE with an other account and that one is ok, so I suppose it is something related with my usual account.

Is there a way to solve this ?

You can find a screenshot here: http://desa3.interfree.it/img/XFCE-problem.png

Bye
