I have an OLPC XO laptop. I'm quite happy with the machine and even Sugar, but I think this machine could do well with a more conventional GUI for some purposes.

I installed Xfce yesterday. It started up fine, but has a few rough edges. The first one is the display resolution. I can't put much time into the others (keyboard, brightness, wireless, etc.) until I can get the display working properly.

Resolution: 1200 (H) × 900 (V) resolution (200 DPI)

Has anyone found a way to get Xfce to run at this resolution? I have not seen anything encouraging. I'll be happy to try about anything.

George
