1- logout
2- log in console mode (ie: CTRL+ALT+F1  and log )
3- rm ~/.cache/sessions/xfce4-session*
4- reswitch to X and log in (ie: CTRL+ALT+F7 and log)
5- voila

I am able to start applicatons via the menu but they are placed in the left upper corner always. Also they are placed on each other, so only the app on the top of the pack is accessible. It is not possible to switch between windows via CTRL+TAB.
This is XFCE 4.6.1 on Gentoo Linux. Starting the apps from the terminal doesnt give me additional information. What can I do to solve this?
