I really do like the XFCE desktop environment and it's goal. Given' it a try several times using Xubuntu. Hate to say it was a little slow (epically under the older PowerPCs) and a few things I didn't like about the early 4.x releases. Once I get my hands dirty with the Launchpad/PPA system Canonical designed, well, hehehehehe.

So, after hearing about XFCE 4.8 and it's improvements, I decided to give it another try after I found an unofficial PPA for it (Natty backport) from OMG! Ubuntu. And now I'm liking XFCE even more. Love the panels, for starters...
