I had originally tried a re-install of xfce which did not throw up any errors it did not seem to know that this file was missing.

How can I persuade xfce to produce this?

I am a new member.

I have just installed xfce4-meta and several xfce-extra/xfce4 packages on a gentoo 64bit system. I use gdm and had expected to find xfce in the session box.  I have re-booted but there is no sign of it.

Any suggestions.
