Hi.

I'm also openSuSE 12.1 and recently switched desktops from KDE to Xfce. I used openSuSE's xfce patterns. I removed a couple of programs that I knew I wouldn't be using. I can't believe how fast I setup my desktop. I *love* the program launchers on the panel! Overall: nice, clean, fast, easy, intuitive, customizable to fit the user's needs.

Just wanted to say thanks, too.

Just installed Suse 12.1 with Xfce. I've used Xfce occasionally in then past, but I'm delighted with the fit and finish of the current version. It's *exactly* what I envision as the perfect desktop - not bloated with unnecessary bells and whistles and complexity. Please keep up the good (no, make that great) work. I spent 37 years in IT and firmly in the KISS principle.
