As I said its my local copies that are affected the categories line from say the window manager tweaks from 4.6 is:
Categories=X-XFCE;Settings;DesktopSettings;X-XfceSettingsDialog;
where as from 4.10 is:
Categories=XFCE;GTK;Settings;DesktopSettings;X-XFCE-SettingsDialog;X-XFCE-PersonalSettings;

Its the addition of the "X-XFCE-PersonalSettings;" entry that has been added.
This as I said is not a major problem and as a lot of people will not use a local copy will never know, I just thought I would point it out as a "gotya".

The local copy in this instance was just copied from the original /usr/share/applications folder to my local folder with no modifications.

One other small but irritating bug I found was the fact that "X-XFCE-SettingsDialog;" had to be added to the "Categories" entry in the .desktop files to make preferences dialogs show up in the settings manager, this means manually going through my local copies and adding the entry.
