I am running Slackware64 13.37 Xfce 4.6.2 with some gnome apps that I can't do without, now down to just Nautilus and Gedit.
I used to always use gnome but the devs for gnome3 have just completely lost the plot, so I have ( mostly! ) switched to Xfce, at the moment I am rewriting my themes to use xfwm4 from metacity, you can see them here:
