I have Thunar configured this way, but file dialogs don't follow this preference - they use some weird hybrid convention where the modified stamp might be a time, a day of the week, or a date in numeric day/month/year format, depending on when the file was modified relative to today.

Would it make sense to have file dialogs adhere to Thunar preferences by default?
