Yeah, the apps ought to be recompiled against Xfce 4.10 (which uses libxfce4-panel-1.0.so.4 instead of ...so.3)

What distribution are you using? Whoever provided you with packages for 4.10 might have also prepared packages for the panel plugins. If not, you can take a run at compiling them yourself, or you might be able to get away with symlinking to the newer library (e.g. cd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/; ln -s libxfce4panel-1.0.so.4.0.0 libxfce4panel-1.0.so.3) -- not really how it ought to be done, though.

Hi,

I am new to this forum and I am having trouble with the new XFCE.

I am getting tis error message when I try to add most of my pluging to the new 4.10:

Plugin "Weather Update" unexpectedly left the panel, do you want to restart it?
The plugin restarted more than once in the last 60 seconds. If you press Execute the panel will try to restart the plugin otherwise it will be permanently removed from the panel.

I tried googling this error but only a handful of sites come up with only 1 about xfce. Leads me to believe it's something I did.

Is there any way to fix this?

I ave the xfce goodies installed.

Other than this it works great and has nice new features. MIME type GUI among others.

Thanks
