I have an idea for a certain type of dynamic buttons in window titlebars - e.g. showing the application's CPU usage as a gauge like a button in the titlebar.

My question is:
Is it possible to add custom buttons to the XFCE window titlebars which can be redrawn regularly (e.g. every second)?
Ideally they should appear in the "Window Appearance" preferences for changing their position.
If this is somehow possible with XFCE theme engines this would be great, if not:
Any hint where I could start to investigate for programming this?
