Each time it launch vlc as if you insert a new disk. May be related to usb autosuspend feature ? Look in "dmesg" to try to trace what the cause ?
I don't think it is a Xfce specific problem so you may have better chance on Xubuntu forum ...

]]> Tue, 21 Aug 2012 12:15:41 +0000 http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=27246#p27246 http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=27198#p27198 I have a user with Xubuntu 12.04 and VLC as the default player.  When a video DVD is in the drive and the computer is idle, it will occasionally open a new instance of VLC all by itself.  After a while there will be several VLCs, sometimes as many as 10 or more, running all at once, sitting at the DVD's menu.  I haven't seen it myself enough to notice a pattern.  Why is it doing this, and how can I fix it?  Thanks.
