I really don't understand much about these things. Both compiled fine for me but I use a very modern system (Fedora 18).
They require Gtk 2.24 and Glib 2.30, maybe that's the issue?

Hi.
I have troubles with compilation newest exo and thunar from source. Here are errors, where compilation stops:

make[2]: Вход в каталог `/home/exter/soft/xfce4.11/exo-0.10.0/exo-desktop-item-edit'
  CCLD exo-desktop-item-edit
../exo/.libs/libexo-1.so: undefined reference to `g_main_context_ref_thread_default'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [exo-desktop-item-edit] Ошибка 1
make[2]: Выход из каталога `/home/exter/soft/xfce4.11/exo-0.10.0/exo-desktop-item-edit'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Ошибка 1
make[1]: Выход из каталога `/home/exter/soft/xfce4.11/exo-0.10.0'
make: *** [all] Ошибка 2

I don't know why I got this. Maybe I have to install something?
I have xubuntu 11.10 and xfce 4.10. Since 4.10 released, I compiled all xfce programs without troubles. And have thunar 1.5.3.
If I force install exo 0.10 then I can't open thunar and system programs.
