thanx guys i've solved the problem by editing the shortcuts for launching the applications,, the 'v' letter assigned to the specific applications

thanx but i noticed that the keyboard works well when i switch the user account which means it did work on the field of password ..?

also I've use windows XP and it works ... probably there's something is wrong in the system ??

If possible, connect your keyboard to a different computer and see if the issue follows it. If so, it's your keyboard. if you can't do that, boot from a Live CD and see if the problem persists.

Hi folk ...

my xfce is 4.8 and the distro is ubuntu studio 12.0.4 ..

first of all i got the problem on layout i can't change it to my language and i solve it by installing an enhancements for the xfce from the software center ..

currently i face a problem that i can't type the letter of 'V' i was trying to type it the the mouse pointer is just winks and nothing is typed ..??

what's the problem , what can i do ??
