			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am having a problem where VLC opens with what appears to be Russian menus. I do not read or speak Russian so this is very annoying. I am having this problem on two completely different computers. One laptop running linux mint xfce an the other, a desktop running xubuntu. Any assistance anyone can offer would be very appreciated.</p><p>Edit: upon further searching, I came across this:</p><p><a href="http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&amp;t=71791" rel="nofollow">http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&amp;t=71791</a></p><p>adding env LANGUAGE=en vlc %U did not solve my issue. It turns out that VLC did not like my use of the &#039;Symbol&#039; font as my main font type.</p>]]></description>
