I fixed a bug...

https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12708

And - nothing happened... Somehow I find this - odd.

Re: I fixed a bug...

The devs rarely visit here so you probably won't get an answer from them. I know they are busy migrating everything to GTK3.

Huh... Is it really the case? "Then what is the bugzilla here for?" - if not for communication with the developers...

Considering the evolution of this (already notorious) bug

https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12264

and given there is hardly any activity at https://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/thunar-dev/ lately -

Alas, it feels more like Thunar is abandoned and unmaintained at the moment..

Re: I fixed a bug...

I don't think you could call it abandoned although most of the recent work looks to be translations, https://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/log/

As for that bug there was some discussion about testing patches for it on #xfce-dev last night (I lurk there from time to time just to see what is happening). That seems to be where they have most of their discussion.

Re: I fixed a bug...

Thank you for your reply, maybe I sounded a bit harsh...

I actually "advertised" my bugfix on #xfce-dev a week ago, to no avail (so far).

And yeah, thunar's changelog on git.xfce.org shows it basically has not been touched since 2015-05-22..

I do realize XFCE is voluntary effort.

I just expected some response to the "real coding" I did :-)

Re: I fixed a bug...

No problems. Apart from getting involved in the discussion on irc I don't know what to suggest.
