[SOLVED] Xfce4 pulseaudio plugin possible issue

Hi,
I'm using Debian Stretch stable 9.4 with kernel 4.9.0-6.
With the Xfce4 pulseaudio plugin (version 0.2.4) I noticed a strange problem with volume regulation: when I move slider cursor I can heard sound in my speaker system only when it is at about 35/36 percent of its position.

What this behavior of volume regulation can be attributed to?

I expect that the volume starts increasing gradually from the beginning of the slider, but I can hear the sound when it is almost halfway.

Thanks.

Does the same problem exist if you use the slider in pavucontrol? If so, it's more likely a pulseaudio issue.

On the Output tab in pavucontrol, what is the volume level for your sound source?

Re: [SOLVED] Xfce4 pulseaudio plugin possible issue

Yes, I confirm that using slider in pavucontrol sound starting from about 35% (Volume Control > Output devices)
Instead, if i go under Volume Control > Playback and I change volume control for the application that I'm using (example VLC) the volume control with slider is more accurate (starting progressively from about 7/9% I can hear sound).
I Suspect that depends on the hardware audio type I'm using ..

Re: [SOLVED] Xfce4 pulseaudio plugin possible issue

And so...solved!
How? Simply plugging my sound system in the build-in analog audio output (Realtek ALC1150)!
Now volume regulation is more more accurate.
Previously I was using a terratec Aureon DualUSB that was necessary for my old OSX operating system (hackintosh) and after making the switch to Linux Debian I still decided to leave Terratec. But....not so good, boy!

Thanks for your help Toz!
