Setting location for splash="simple"

I used Session and Startup to enable the Xfce splash named "Simple." As we are thinking of adding that for MX-19, I looked for the config line here:

~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-session.xml

I found what looks like it ought to be the line, but it reads:

<property name="splash" type="empty">

Unless "empty" is the name of that splash, I am wondering where it is set.
