Found a bug with xfce4-systemload-plugin Version 1:1.2.1-0ubuntu1

I'm not the best at making videos but it's the only way to really show what is going on.  I talk a little about the Psensor giving me some trouble in Mint 19, 19.1 and Linux Lite 4.0, 4.2.  I suggest that you just ignore what I say about it.  Because i need to make another video that just focuses on it.

In the video I'm running Xubuntu 18.04.2 and XFCE 4.12.3.  The plugin in question is xfce4-systemload-plugin Version 1:1.2.1-0ubuntu1.  It's not a really long video but it is around 11 minutes.

Re: Found a bug with xfce4-systemload-plugin Version 1:1.2.1-0ubuntu1

With respect to the missing tooltips for the systemload plugin, this was a known issue that was resolved for the 1.2.2 release. See: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13536.

Regarding your other issue, the other plugin that may be affecting this is the Indicator plugin. There is a bit of confusion between he three types of systray plugins in Xfce:

  • Notifcation Area (systray) - the original systray plugin

  • Indicator Plugin - to support Ubuntu's Atyana indicators

  • Status Notifier Plugin - to supprot the newer sntray protocol

It looks like psensor has better support for application indicators - that the Status Notifier Supports.
