Mapping a shortcut for contolling volume

I would like to have alt+ and alt- for controlling the volume. How do I map it under 'keyboard shortcuts'
I do not know what the command would be.

Re: Mapping a shortcut for contolling volume

'amixer set Master 1+ ' for increasing volume, and for decrease, of course it'll be '-1'. If you would like to set master for other cards use the switch -c n
