Question: add places to xfce menu

Hello,

search for the option to add the panel plugin "Places" in the xfce menu,
or any suggestions how to edit the xml file, that it looks related to it?

Re: Question: add places to xfce menu

In my case (Mandriva) as simple as, download/install the rpm and right click on panel, add item and select xfce-places from the list of installable items that shows.

Re: Question: add places to xfce menu

it is still added to the panel, but is there an way, to place the functions of "places" to the Xfce Main Menu?
Actually "places" and the "xfcemenu" is separated in the Panel, is there a way to add the functionality in the main menu?

So that i just do an right click and i got access to the menu and removable dev`s, bookmarks, etc...

Re: Question: add places to xfce menu

I understand, but don't know -- I think the plugins are only meant for installation into the panel.

Re: Question: add places to xfce menu

not sure how to add "Places" to the menu...but you could always add a new folder in the start menu and add shortcuts to the folders you want

edit menu
add folder
make Launcher and use the command "thunar /foldername/foldername" to goto whatever folder

this might not be what you wanted but it works good enough
