howto install xfce goodies with aptitude

xfce with debian installation

I have debian-xfce on my machine debian-40r6-i386-xfce-CD-1.iso
http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/4.0 … e-CD-1.iso

I was trying to install some basic goodies like thunar plugins or xfburn, but I always fail.

When trying to install thunar plugins I need with every plugin installed from source like 50 dependency installed.
Is there some easy way how-to ?
For xfburn I would like to include source in my /etc/apt/source.list (deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian sid main contrib non-free)
to just aptitude it .. but it does not work for me .. I need source that works !

Don't get me wrong I really like debian & xfce and I will not turn my back to you guys, I think you already have done great job so far.
I would just like to found a way for my problem to be solved, because I really, really like debian-xfce.

thx

Re: howto install xfce goodies with aptitude

I think you source line should be:

deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists sid main contrib non-free

Try it and see.

Original from the debian the path would be:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian sid main contrib non-free
..but it does not work for me either
