Language problem

Hello!
I recently changed the language of my system from english to swedish. Unfortunately, I can't have the xfce menu and the softwares to run in swedish by default (I can enforce it running the software from the terminal though).
What's weird is that under Gnome 3 everything is in swedish there is no problem, I didn't have to change anything really, have you got an idea to make xfce launch the different softwares in swedish?

Hellom
I've realised something: whenever I launch somethin from the terminal (which is in swedish) the software is in swedish
but when I click on an icon in the menu, it's launched in english
and what's launched at startup is also always in english (including xfce menus...)
but in gnome 3 again, everything is in swedish. so I guess in comes from a setting in xfce

Ok, the problem comes actually from GDM, xfce4 wasn't guilty
If you've got the same problem you can kill the evil gnome guy!

how did you solve the problem? I have the same problem on my box (with german instead of swedish).

What distribution are you using?
Please post the output from command

locale
