Placing Thuna and Search for Files on Xfce Menu Panel

Seasons Greetings!

I'm a Mac (abandoned) -to-Linux novice currently enjoying Xfce 4.6 on Debian 6.0.3 and looking forward to when 4.8 is available for it. As the subject line tells it all, I'd like to place Thuna and Search for Files launch icons on the Xfce Menu Panel but have no clue how. If it's at all possible I'd take any hint. I'm also seeking a way for the background wallpaper to rotate image lists.

Thanks you for assist!

For menu editing, please see http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=6245

To change wallpaper, you can use a cron job and a script. The command to change wallpaper is :

DISPLAY=:0.0 xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /backdrop/screen0/monitor0/image-path -s /path/to/my/image.jpg

Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...

Re: Placing Thuna and Search for Files on Xfce Menu Panel

Thanks for the reply and I hope to tap your polite expertise again as I grope around using XFCE and Linux. I agree with user Jasn there that there be a Xfce specific menu editor for those like us who aren't deep into command lines and hacking under the hood stuff, but just trying to look around for alternatives to Windows and Mac to do our stuff. Onwards...

No go. I just can't get a handle on doing all this programming stuff and don't want to learn by experimenting and screwing things up. I'll just wait on using a pure Gnome GUI app or for a xfce maven to whip up one. Thanks for your input and have a Happy Holiday!

P.S. Just tried to use "DesktopNova-Tray" and "Drapes" to do the desktop background slideshow thing but they don't work, as though they doesn't even "see" xfce, unlike Gnome. Still looking...

Thanks a million! We found it and it works! I tried to find a email address to alert the repository of this flaw of not picking up all relevant plug-ins but couldn't find any.
