VLC Media Player contorts the videos

Since for the PB G4 there is no flash to see youtube in Firefox, i use Flash Replacer which sends the files to an external media player, VLC as the first instance because the preferred one in Xfce (?). Now, for me on my screen (17" PB G4) the videos are unviewable: a small vertical stripe, greyscaled no coulours. I tried to play around with the settings, but didn't have any luck. So, i changed in the settings Flash Replacer to use gnome-mediaplayer. But frankly, i'd like to understand the problem with vlc. One file example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj-J0Rjq6NQ .

TIA

Re: VLC Media Player contorts the videos

If you are asking about VLC issue, is it better to ask on VLC forum ? The file association are defined by /usr/share/applications/ and ~/.local/share/applications/ and may be configured by default by your linux distro, not Xfce.

Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
