.dds support in thunar-thumbnailer

Sometimes with crappy graphic engine and wrong choices, devs use this format (.dds) and it's a pain in the ass when we must open this with Gimp. Why? Because we don't have the preview in Thunar and when we open a .dds file a dialog with tweaks pop on Gimp before we can see the image. So we waste some time when we must work on many .dds because it's like we always searching the file we want.

I don't know if this format is difficult to implement because i'm not a programmer but more a graphist but i really think .dds support will be useful for graphists around the world. I have already contact Erlend Davidson but he seems to not support thunar-thumbnailer anymore.

So, what do you think about the .dds support in thunar-thumbnailer?

You can always request it by creating an enhancement request in the bug tracker.
