When I boot to my Xfce 126.96.36.199 desktop there is always an error window titled "Trash Error". The error message reads: "Unable to connect to the Xfce Trash service. Make sure you have a file manager installed that supports the Xfce Trash service, such as Thunar." Clicking the close button gets rid of the error window and everything appears to be OK. I have Thunar installed. When I right click the Trash icon and click "open" I get the same error window. When I left double click the Trash icon, Thunar opens with the Trash folder open, ready for browsing.
Does anyone know how to eliminate this annoying error message?
Thanks for any help, jimbo
same problem, cept right clicking does not reproduce the warning.
I downloaded a few files to my desktop.
only one of them appeared graphically.
I went into the desktop settings.
I set icons to none.
then back to file/folders.
when set back to file/folders it reproduced the warning but now shows the all of the files in folder Desktop graphically.
continues to not display files downloaded in the Desktop until I repeat the previous process.
this is 4.4 rc2 installed by the graphical installer on gentoo current x86.
