XMMS Plugin

Love XFCE!  However, was needing a little help getting the XMMS Plugin working.

When I try to set it up, I get Cannot find any supported media player. You have to install at least one player first.
I do have XMMS install and working fine. As well as audacious, rhythmbox, and amarok.
Any ideas ?

TIA

Re: XMMS Plugin

Same here.

I'm using xUbuntu 7.04.
XMMS and the xfce4-xmms-plugin where installed using Synaptic. Both are up to date.

XMMS is working fine, but the panel plugin doesn't seem to find it.

I guess the plugin is looking in all the wrong places for XMMS. So a link should fix the prlbme.
But where _is_ the plugin looking?

Re: XMMS Plugin

As someone pointed on ubuntuforums.de, it seems that you need to install one of the two plugins: xmmsctrl or xmms-shell. I couldn't install them on Fedora Core 6, but may be on your distribution it will work ( I know Debian has binary packages for these plugins). Let us know if it worked.
Good luck

Re: XMMS Plugin

Umm... I am the one, who asked at ubuntuusers.de and later posted the anwser there.
Forgot to write here as well.

Basically, the plugin uses some other program to control XMMS, but that dependency is not mentioned anywhere.
