Strange Alt behaviour

Hi,

I've just installed Xfce 4.4.1 within my new Slackware 12. Everything seems to runs fine, except Alt key on keyboard. When I press the normal Alt+F2 - nothing happens. The same for AltGr+F2. Action is performed only if I press both alts - Alt+AltGr+F2, which is quite annoying.

I include my keyboard section from xorg.conf, where according to my knowledge is nothing which could cause this. Note also that Alt button is working correctly in KDE. Any ideas?

Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Keyboard1"
    Driver "kbd"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    Option "XkbLayout" "us,sk"
    Option "XkbVariant" ",qwerty"
    Option "XkbOptions" "grp:shifts_toggle,grp_led:scroll"
EndSection

Re: Strange Alt behaviour

And what happens when you redefind the keybindings in the keyboard settings?

In Xfce settins manager I had choosen window manager->keyboard->add. After this, the current settings has been copied into new one. When I for example modify the 'Close window' shortcut to only 'F4' it works. Then I choose to bind it back to Alt+F4, so I press only one (left) Alt and F4 and the shortcut is created, the shorcut field states Alt+F4. But to use it I still need to press both alts.

Re: Strange Alt behaviour

Well, if alt combinations don't work in gtk either, it's a xorg (settings) problem. I haven't seen this before...

Re: Strange Alt behaviour

I have some update about this. The problem will manifest, when in the xorg.conf is present following option:

Option "XkbLayout" "us,sk"

When it is commented out, the Alt+Tab works fine again in Xfce (note that in all other desktop enviroments it works always). AFAIK this option is perfectly correct and I have no clue why it is causing problems with Xfce. Is it possible it is some kind of bug?
