Desktop showing old files

Hello!

After installing xfce4.4.1 on xubuntu feisty, the icons on my desktop are the old ones that I had in my desktop folder before the install. If I add or delete files to /home/r4gzy/Desktop folder, the changes are not visable on the xfce desktop...

If I try to delete a file (ex castle.celzip) on the xfce desktop it says: (translated from swedish) Failed to recognize filinformation for "file:///home/r4gzy/Desktop/castle.celzip"

is it the 3 /// that is causing this or what? How can I tell xfce where my desktop folder is located?  :?

Update: When I rebooted the Desktop synced with my Desktop folder, but if I add/remove a file/folder it does not show on the desktop..

Re: Desktop showing old files

I found a couple of posts now, sorry for not looking before but I was in a hurry when I wrote this post. Gamin was installed but since It doesnt seem to work and I dont want to install fam I guess I'll just stick with pressing F5 to update, its easy enough.
