Hello,
First of all, I'd like to say a "hello" to everyone who posts on this forum, this is my first one...but I think I'll stay here for a bit
Recently I haven't been able to run xfce correctly (my version is 4.4.), because after the login manager splash it just seems to be loading...and then , a strange error appears making xfce back to the previous log.manager.
Could anyone just take a look on the mentioned error?

Honestly your error confuses me as well but the first error appears in the /etc/profile file so what have you go in there .
I believe your error starts with line 21 of /etc/profile . So this is my line 21 entry is it similar to yours ?
if [ "$TERM" = "xterm" -o "$TERM" = "xterm-color" -o "$TERM" = "rxvt" -o "$TERM" = "xterm-xfree86" ]; then

Hey,
First of all thank you ver much for answering
I've menaged to resolv the issue - It was enough to move, change the names of config dirs, then xfce loaded normally.
I had to set some options once again, though...
