Desklet for showing system information on the desktop?

Hi,

I'm looking for a plugin (desklet?) for XFCE (4.4.1 running on Slackware 12.0) to display various system information (CPU load, memory usage, etcetera) semi-transparently on the desktop, a bit like it's done here with Fluxbox:

can this be done?

Re: Desklet for showing system information on the desktop?

Hi,

I'm using conky http://conky.sourceforge.net/ along with xfce which is application on that fluxbox screenshot. It can be used but I think you have to disable desktop icons otherwise it will flash alot. If you can't live without desktop icons you can use gkrellm http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bil … rellm.html or some xfce panel plugins http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/start
