Printing from X file write

I'm trying to print from X file write (xfw)
In the print dialog there's an entry lpr -P <Printername> which I've tried to change to lpr or lpr -P <My_Printername>.
None of these works if the file is a new file that has not been saved!
As soon as I save the file with a name, it can be printed. This must be a bug?

What exactly do you mean? If you have a solution, I'd appreciate if you would be more specific in your answer!

Re: Printing from X file write

Do you use cups? If so change lpr to lp and forget the rest. This should bring up the print dialog.

Re: Printing from X file write

lp <filename> should just print the file to the default CUPS printer.

TIP: Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

Re: Printing from X file write

Yes I understand all your suggestions. But you are missing my point! It works only if the file has been saved once. I was just making a quick note and wanted to print it without saving first. That cannot be done.
