[SOLVED]Error in checksum and extracting

Hello everyone!
I have two problems installing the xfce desktop enviroment, look at my console output:

user@local:~$ sudo ./Scrivania/xfce4-4.4RC2-installer.run
Verifying archive integrity...Error in MD5 checksums: 6625c7f89c5b3f616739d0eaa2562b04 is different from 29e55cc2c22bc4599f7ae4eb989e1690

When i saw this i changed the line in the installer file in this way:
before: MD5="29e55cc2c22bc4599f7ae4eb989e1690"  after: MD5="6625c7f89c5b3f616739d0eaa2562b04"
Doing this the error checksum vanished, but trying to run i faced this one:

user@local:~$ sudo ./Scrivania/xfce4-4.4RC2-installer.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Xfce 4.4.3 installer script
bzip2: Data integrity error when decompressing.
Input file = (stdin), output file = (stdout)

It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted.
You can use the -tvv option to test integrity of such files.

You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover
data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.

..Extraction failed.
Signal caught, cleaning up

Bye bye..

Re: [SOLVED]Error in checksum and extracting

The MD5 error indicates that something has changed compared to what the distributor of this file meant you to download. This could be because someone tampered with it (that is the main purpose of publsihging MD5 or SHA1 hashes for files), but more likely given the second error is that teh file you downloaded is incomplete and/or got corrupted during download (or possibly on the server you download from).

Re: [SOLVED]Error in checksum and extracting

Ok, problem solved, I downloaded from another server and the un-compression process gone well.
Than you all!
