auto-shade based on focus

I haven't used KDE for a long time, but there has always been one thing I have missed. The ability for a window to shade (roll up) when focus was lost and un-shade (roll down) when it regained focus. This combined with sloppy-focus a viable option to me (really don't like the extra work).

Is this already possible or who do I have to convince to add it?

Re: auto-shade based on focus

Settings-> Window Manager Tweaks-> Compositor tab

obviously, play with the setting for inactive windows... iirc, only available in 4.6

Sorry I guess I'm using KDE terms here, shading refers to "Roll Window Up." Sloppy-Focus => "Focus Follows Mouse"

Window alpha blends weren't available 6 years ago when I was using KDE.

Re: auto-shade based on focus

Ahhh, makes sense now.  That option isn't in current versions of xfwm4, you could file a feature request but unless its wanted/commented on by several ppl chances are slim of it being included.  If you want, attach a patch and you'll have a better shot at it being added smile
