Default Applications

Has anyone been able to come up with a settings manager that handles the setting of more than 3 applications (browser, email client and terminal app) under Xfce?

Thanks.

Re: Default Applications

Its what handles all the Preferred Apps and a few other things, check file:///usr/share/xfce4/doc/C/exo-preferred-applications.html respectively.  It gives a good run down of what it is/does smile

Re: Default Applications

Thanks much.  I found that file and looked it over.  I didn't even know the thing was there.  (I wish there was a centralized help applet to keep all Linux program docs accessible in one place.)

What I couldn't find was how to change the program to add more default program listings.  What would be nice would be knowing if this is a script that could be expanded by the end-user, or if it is hard-coded beyond our access.  Also, whether or not our friend Benedikt made the program with the idea of expansion in his mind in the first place.

Thanks again.

Re: Default Applications

I think when it was wrote those were the only standardized apps, there might be more now, not too sure.  File a feature request against exo and see what Nick has to say, I don't think he browses the forums that often anymore.
