Arch

I have been a long time user of both Fedora and Xfce, however I am considering switching to Arch, I prefer the Rolling Release distribution, and the lightweight, minimal, and power-in-simplicity ideals that Arch embodies. I've successfully installed it in the past and I am not afraid of command lines or manually configuring my system. Those of you whom use Arch what do you like about it? And would you recommend me switching to it?

Re: Arch

I like Arch. I am using it for more than one year and recently switched from KDE to XFCE. Arch is straightforward and easy to setup, Wiki is excelent. And, there's always Forum.

Re: Arch

Thanks smile how is the package selection? Would I go missing any packages? I went to the website and browsed about and I liked what I saw.

Re: Arch

Really tones of packages, official and in AUR. Check Packages and AUR links on the web site.

Re: Arch

Been using Arch for 2 years now. No major complaints, really! If anything breaks (nothing major has ever broken for me) it is always due to an upstream bug (risks of rolling release). It is an intelligently run distro with a well-developed wiki and forum. Highly recommended!
