XFCE's initials

Forgive me if there is an appropriate thread already going such a discussion, but I would like to suggest an alternative meaning for XFCE's former initials.

Xenolithic
Flexible
Connectible
Environment

This expresses my amazement with how well XFCE performs, using all the various bits and pieces people throw at it.  Obviously 'X' is the big hangup letter, when trying to come up with new initials.  big_smile  I wanna hear more ideas, though.. wink

Re: XFCE's initials

Not trying to be disrespectful, but isn't this a bit useless? The project has been rebranded from XFCE to Xfce. XFCE doesn't exist anymore!

Now if this is a purely fun thread... eXtendible Freaking Cool Environment big_smile

Re: XFCE's initials

I was aware of this and I totally get it.. and I no disrespect intended on my part, but isn't that a bit like insisting that KFC become Kfc, simply out of lack of ideas for a new meaning?  Dropping the Kentucky, the Fried and the Chicken not only seems kinda stupid and a bit boring, but does not stop people from recalling the original meaning, or even worse for marketing, coming up with their own new meanings!

..until someone spends money on tshirts and other swag, what does branding really mean?  Also, the site's header image seems to defy the new formatting.  tongue wink

Foundation is still work in progress and yes sometimes we need money, for example to keep the servers running.
