Hi,
my name is Raphael Groner. I live in the south-west of Germany.

Since some years, I was working with different Linux distributions and have professional experience in programming with C++, Python,
and others.

I am trying to package pyxfce for Fedora and think about maintaining it, as my first package contribution to Fedora. The guidelines in the wiki have been read, but it's still confusing and I think to need help as a freshman. Maybe someone wants to sponsor me smile

The git source does not build with xfce 4.6.2 / Fedora 14. We will need a new upstream release for Fedora 15 that includes already Xfce
4.8.

Are there any plans in near future to do a release 4.8?
Package Review Request:

The project seems to be still alive in several downstream distributions and there's some need to push pyxfce to version 4.8.
For instance, killermoehre looks for a port: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=46820

I know that there are the vala bindings. Furthermore everything is going to become good with new PyGObject of Gtk3, PyGI.and all that amazing and encouraging stuff
But I am looking for a pragmatic solution that works now, with Python. wink

Best regards,
Raphael Groner
