I looked at Xfce, and liked it, several years ago when KDE went weird. But Xfce wasn't gui enough, so I went to Gnome, eagerly awaiting the release of the 3D desktop Sun were working on (what happened to that?).
Now that Ubuntu has dropped Gnome in favor of Unity (??%*&*??), I thought I'd have another look at Xfce.
I understand that Linus has also traveled a similar path, hence the subject title.
