Hi. I'm a developer of http://ciembor.github.com/4bit. I just wanna announce that few minutes ago I added an export to the XFCE4 Terminal's terminalrc config file! Enjoy and let me know if there are any problems (you may add a bug report on GitHub).
Thanks for attention:).
I would just suggest that you put some real-life content (like a corlorful ls or grep command).
Because, I adjusted some colors nice and cool but once in my terminal and run a ls command, it is not nice as expected ... The colors are still the same but their ratio is not the same.
Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
This is awesome except that when I look up the default terminalrc file (in ~/.config/xfce4/terminal/terminalrc) I have the following format:
Further, when I try to change input the custom configuration text from your web-application's terminalrc, it ignores it. Did xfce4 change their ColorPalette keyword format, possibly? Could you have your application (which is excellent, I think) reflect this?
Thank you for feedback, hopefully I get notification emails from this forum (issue on GitHub could be better idea;)). I did some research and it looks, that someone changed this in November.
commit d4d09c0734fa48335496a710e184090686f159a9 Author: Nick Schermer <email@example.com> Date: Fri Dec 21 22:24:27 2012 +0100 Bundle palette colors into a single string. This is quicker in the code and saves a bunch of properties.
I'll fix it ASAP, but I'm in the middle of an exam session, so I don't know when exactly.
I reported an issue on github for you as well. Hope it helps. I don't use GitHib much... Yet. I'm impressed by your skill at finding that change.
Good luck on your exams.
