[Solved] System reboot when exiting suspend mode

Hello all,

I use a Sony laptop and recently upgraded to ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I also use xfce 4.8.

Since the 12.04 upgrade, when trying to exit suspend mode the system goes for a complete reboot.

Any idea where that might come from ?
I know I had to tinker a little to get the permission to shutdown correctly, maybe I dont have the permission to get out of suspend ?

Thanks

AFAIK this has nothing to do with Xfce but more with the underlying distro and the hardware used.

Thanks for the reply.

I dont think this has to do with hardware, since it worked correctly before upgrade to 12.04 LTS.
However, this may have to do with xubuntu then. Do you know a forum where I should ask ?

Re: [Solved] System reboot when exiting suspend mode

Try the kernel parameter acpi_sleep=nonvs. Its known to fix reboot on resume issues with some Sony laptops.
